American Artist

Nate Laybourn grew up in Northeastern Colorado. As a little boy he knew he wanted to be an artist. The family kitchen table always held a drawing project. While practicing his trade, he truly developed a love for art. After high-school, he began his journey by studying commercial art at the Colorado Institute of Art. During his two-year stay in the big city, he realized that art meant nothing to him without the farm life he had grown to love. He traveled and sold his art directly to the public in venues such as the National Western Stock Show in Denver Colorado. At the time he painted nostalgic subject matter such as tractors, barns, and cars. Supporting his passion, Nate taught K-12 art for six years and started a graphics and print shop program at Sterling Correctional Facility. He has also painted several large murals in the Sterling area. Nate is currently creating his modern day Giuseppe Arcimboldo Americano gallery series.

Nate is surrounded by his wife Lindsey who manages the details of his business and has four children who have their own inspiring interest as creatives.
